Epictok review: two apps, one name, and a note on accuracy
Epictok sells short narrated history episodes. Searching for it, you will find a website and two different App Store apps. Here is what each one is, what it costs, and what its own terms say about accuracy.
Short version: "Epictok" is three things: the website epictok.me, which sells access through its own checkout, and two App Store apps from two different sellers. None links to the others in a way we could confirm. The website's terms say its content is made with AI, may be dramatized, and is not guaranteed to be historically accurate. If you want narrated history you can rely on, check the sources behind any app before you subscribe.
Which app is Epictok?
Two apps on the US App Store use the name: "Epictok - Original History App" from Oliver Johnson, and "Epictok History - Past & Facts" from Moonlight Apps SRL. The website epictok.me sells its own access through a web checkout and does not link to either listing, so we could not confirm which, if either, belongs to it.

Website and US App Store listings checked October 13, 2026. We found no Epictok app on Google Play. The Original History App's legal links point to epictalk.app.
Is Epictok historically accurate?
The epictok.me terms of use say its content is generated or curated with the use of AI, may include fictionalized or dramatized elements, and is not warranted to be historically accurate, complete or up to date. Treat its episodes as entertainment and check facts you want to rely on.
That disclosure is more candid than most, and dramatized history can be a fine way into a subject. It does change what you are buying: a mood and a story, rather than a source you can quote. We have not listened to the episodes, so we make no claim about any particular one.
How much does Epictok cost?
On the US App Store, "Epictok - Original History App" lists $9.99 a month or $39.99 a year. "Epictok History - Past & Facts" lists $5.99 a week, $9.99 a month, and $24.99 or $39.99 a year, with a free trial mentioned in its description.
The website's terms describe a 14-day refund window for purchases made on epictok.me. Purchases made through the App Store follow Apple's own refund process instead.
